The Library is currently open for Semester 1 opening times

Due to staff shortages our Service Desk will not always have a Library team member after 5pm, or at weekends. If you specifically need to see a member of the Library team outside traditional office hours you may wish to phone and check their availability on the day. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Outside of Service Desk hours there is a Security staff member present in the Library. The Security team are available to assist in an emergency or can answer simple directional enquiries but cannot assist with Library enquiries.
During these times patrons can use the out of hours chat service or email the Library with their enquiry. Emails will be responded to during staffed Library hours, which may only be Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm depending on staff availability.

*** Library hours for the Christmas break 2024/25 ***
The Library closes on Sunday 22nd December 2024 for the festive period. It reopens on Monday 6th January 2025, although staff will be available via email on Monday 23rd December and Friday 3rd January. Please see the table below for full details.

Between Tuesday 24th December and Thursday 2nd January (inclusive) there are no Library support or enquiry services available. All online resource such as databases, ebooks and online journal articles continue to be available as normal. The Library team hope that everyone has a great festive break!

When the library is closed, or outwith usual staff hours, there will be a 'Live Chat' button on the side of the library website and LibrarySearch. You can use this to talk with a librarian from another institution who may be able to help you with your query. If they are unable to help, they will log your query and forward it to us and we will respond between Monday-Friday 0900-1700.
