Referencing is a critical element in any academic assignment. You will always have to reference your sources according to our guidelines.

RGU uses the version of Harvard set out in Cite Them Right by Pears and Shields. You can find further guidance there, and further examples in our templates.

If you are still using our classic guidance, please access the relevant basics guide and templates. We recommend that most students should be using the refreshed styles but final year students may wish to continue to use the older styles. Please check with your module or course leader if you are unsure which style to use.
