Unit 4: Tools and Add-ons

Managing PDFs

You have the option of uploading and attaching certain file types to references in RefWorks.

You can upload a variety of file types, but this guide will focus on how to annotate PDF documents within RefWorks.

The available options are similar to those provided by other software such as MS Word and Adobe Acrobat, so you should decide which option is best for you before proceeding.

Access and Annotate PDFs

  • To access a file attachment in a reference, click on the reference and select either 'Read the selected document', or click the filename in the 'Attachments' field of the reference.
